Our Business Areas

As GreenCycle, we are responsible for the operational and strategic purchasing of all waste management services for the approximately 4,500 sources of recyclable materials within the Schwarz Group in Germany. We act on behalf of and with authority for our sister companies Lidl, Kaufland and Schwarz Produktion as well as all other Schwarz companies. In doing so, we start as far up the waste hierarchy as possible, create sustainable recycling products and drive innovative ideas in the waste disposal industry.

This includes:

• Ensuring the security of waste disposal
• Regionalization of waste management services
• Account optimization: cost reduction and revenue increase
• Service provider evaluation
• Advancing new disposal methods

We manage the marketing of recyclable materials, especially paper, cardboard, cardboard packaging, plastics and unsold retail goods (residuals), both nationally and internationally for our Lidl and Kaufland retail divisions and Schwarz Produktion. Our goal and aspiration is to return the greatest possible number of recyclable materials to the cycle.

We are also the central input channel for various inquiries from our retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland, the PreZero Stiftung and PreZero Germany, and our external service providers. We are a competent contact for operational inquiries on the topic of waste disposal. We are available daily from 07:00 to 17:00 via our contact page.
